Essay on Global Warming & its causes and effects in English

Essay on Global Warming in 500 Words

Introduction: Environment means our surroundings or the environment in which a human being lives. Other parts of the environment, animals and plants also affect the human being and are also affected by it.

In ancient times, human life depended entirely on the natural environment. But as human civilization progressed, it began to adapt to the natural environment to meet its needs. As a result, the natural harmony between man and the natural environment has completely changed today.

Ever since man began to meet his needs from his surroundings, the natural environment has been disturbed. Since then, agriculture, the industrial revolution and the daily needs of a growing population have completely changed the relationship between the natural environment and man. He is destroying forests to meet his needs.

Atmosphere and Life: Atmosphere means the mixture of gases which is wrapped around the earth like a gill. At birth the earth was a sphere of gases.

As the top layer cooled down, it took on a hard appearance. Due to the chemical reactions that take place in the earth, the gases in the earth slowly came out and wrapped around it due to its gravity, thus giving birth to the atmosphere.

Life on earth is unimaginable without the atmosphere. The gases in the atmosphere affect life on Earth in many different ways; Just as plants take in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen, and organisms carry oxygen in and out of carbon dioxide. Such a double process maintains the balance of life on earth.

Pollution: The Earth's atmosphere is a mixture of different gases, each containing a certain amount of gas which helps the life on earth in different ways.

An increase or decrease in the amount of a single gas in a mixture of these gases pollutes the environment. With which life on earth is endangered. For example, as the amount of ozone decreases, the sun's ultraviolet rays will reach the earth in greater amounts, which will cause warming of the earth's atmosphere and can lead to various diseases in humans and living beings.

Global warming: The earth receives heat from the sun's rays. When heated, it releases all the heat. Gases like carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, CFC, etc. absorb this returning heat.

That is why they are also called 'greenhouse gases'. Of this, carbon dioxide alone accounts for about 50% of global warming. Combustion of fossil fuels has increased carbon dioxide and other gases over the last 200 years or so.

Carbon dioxide, smoke, respiration, vapor respiration are released into the atmosphere by humans. This raises the temperature of the lower atmosphere by 0.5 C. This increase in temperature is called 'global warming'.

Greenhouse: Greenhouse is also called 'shish ghar'. The effect of a greenhouse means that the earth's temperature is constantly rising under the influence of carbon dioxide (CO2).

CO2 plays a major role in maintaining the balance of heat in the atmosphere as the sun's rays reach the earth but this gas does not allow the heat to return. Causes Carbon dioxide gas is released into the atmosphere by flammable substances, vehicles, airplanes, etc., increasing the heat.

Causes of Global Warming: The causes of global warming are:

1. Indiscriminate deforestation: Today's man is indiscriminately cutting down forests and trees in the name of development. Plants prepare their food from the heat of the sun and absorb carbon dioxide gas and release oxygen gas.

2. Flammable substances: Growth in industries and urban areas, burning of fuels in industry and motor vehicles, wood, dung, coal, petroleum, seafood, aircraft fumes, CO2 gas through thermal high power plants, industrial units etc. Is growing.

The effects of global warming: The increase in global warming is not sudden but its effects are the most dangerous and harmful which is detrimental to us and future generations. The side effects are:

As a result, world crop production will decline.
Rising temperatures will melt polar regions and glaciers in the mountains. This will raise the sea level. This will increase the area of the desert.
The heat will also increase in the cold tropics. This will lead to the spread of diseases, especially respiratory diseases, malaria, etc. Rising temperatures can cause extreme heat in summer and extreme cold in winter or even summer in winter and summer in winter.
This could lead to cyclones and other storms, which could wreak havoc. In the same way rain and water cycle will also change. Dry areas may receive heavy rainfall or rainfed areas will become dry.

This means that there can be many environmental problems. Rising global temperatures have led to melting of ice, floods and droughts, increase in the amount and speed of toxic gases, submergence in many areas and countries, rising sea levels, increase in the normal temperature range for biodiversity, etc.

The danger has increased. In fact, these processes have already begun and will soon take a dangerous turn. Holes are forming in the ozone layer. Man-made toxins or gases are doing great damage to this layer. These gases are used in refrigerators, jets, a.k.a. Was. Are coming out from the beginning.

Ways to mitigate global warming: Rising temperatures can be controlled by reducing the use of fossil fuels. Plant as many trees as possible.

Deforestation should be banned,
small dams should be built on rivers,
control of vehicles,
use of low heat generating fuels,
prevention of blinding construction,
pollution control plants in all factories.
Stop planting, CFC and other gas production.
Concrete steps must be taken in advance to curb the adverse effects of rising temperatures, developing maximum sources of wind power, solar power, waves, water and ground heat.

Conclusion: Global warming is a serious problem. If we do not pay attention to this, this disorder will really take life to the brink of destruction and the developed civilization on earth will be destroyed in an instant.
